I bought your novel 6 months ago.
If I knew you were on DA I would have commented earlier. The pictures are breathtaking. I like the few dashes of red on several pages. The characters look so lifelike. I really like your take on Claudia (she looks a bit like my little sister). You managed to make her childlike appearance mix so very intriguing with her womanlike expressions. One really gets the feeling that she is an adult trapped in this child's body and finally coming to hate her appearance, hating her makers and "parents", yet still loving Louis.
Louis mournful, serious expressions, full of thought and regret were so perfect!
I also liked Armand! He looks like he came straight out of the book (I don't like Antonio Banderas as Armand in the movie and was a bit anxious until I reached the first page where your Armand appeared. I was so glad you made Armand look like a young man straight out of the italian renaissance. Absolutely perfect!)
I read the whole novel in one night and actually had to cry at the end! Claudia taking Madelaines Hand, like she was her daughter- consoling her as the sun rose and killed them both, her serene expression. It was heartbreaking! Poor Louis.
Very, very, very good work you did there! Please tell me you will publish another novel soon (even if it isn't from the Vampire Chronicles. I really am a fan of yours now).

Might I ask how long it took you to complete the novel? It looks so detailed. I draw myself but those complex, beautiful backgrounds would have killed me. The angles are stunning too!
Did you use pencil for the outlines? The lines look to soft to be done in ink or with a felt pen.
